Creative Makers Lab – on Monday nights or Tuesday mornings

Do you enjoy exploring new materials and making stuff, experimenting with found objects and creating beautiful new things?

Then this class is for you!

In this workshop over 5 weeks I have prepared projects with transfer techniques, creating small cushions/dolls that we will decorate, book art projects in which we use old books to create new objects that are fun and beautiful at the same time and we will work with old toys to make new decorative objects that can be fun or thought provoking. The outcome is not set in stone and open to your playful discoveries.

All our activities, especially in art making, are driven by conscious and subconscious patterns, rationalism and intuition, playfulness, and methodology as complementary and natural sides in us we can utilize in harmonic balance.
So let us go play and be creative! Let us return to light-hearted playfulness and intuition. Let us re-open the door to the natural artist and creator in us.

Join me in this creative workshop and explore these complementing sides in us while making creative objects and learn how to

• start off your creations with fun and play inspirations, remaining in the play phase as long as possible,
• work open-ended on your creation instead of strongly focussing on an end result,
• pause and change your thoughts positively when your analytical brain starts controlling you with fear and judgement,
• step back to a distant self-observation of your work,

and finally, become a

• playful decision taker!

The workshop consists of 5 sessions (2 hours each, all materials included) and will introduce you to several practical exercises and inspiring art techniques, improving the ease and flow of your creative work.

The workshop takes place at my studio in Belair on Monday evenings from 19.00 – 21.00 or Tuesday mornings from 10.00 – 12.00h and starts on 27th/28th February through to the 27th/28th March.
