- I am committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy describes my policy regarding processing of personal data, the security measures I employ to protect such data, your right to access, rectify or delete such data and the right to complain.
- I take privacy seriously and am committed to comply with this Privacy Policy as a minimum standard. Your data will be processed and transferred for specific and legitimate purposes in accordance with applicable laws.
- This Policy creates a framework that provides a secure level of protection for the personal information that is used, collected, and transferred with trusted external parties, as my newsletter provider who is fully compliant with GDPR rules. I am using the minimum amount of personal information required.
- I use an analytics software to monitor customer traffic patterns and site usage to help me develop the design and layout of my website. This software does not enable me to collect any information that allows me to identify a specific person.
WHEN DO I COLLECT YOUR DATA?
I collect your e-mail address and contact details whenever you book a class with me, or when you purchase an artwork from me. I collect your e-mail address when you send me e request through my website and register for my newsletter.
WHY DO I COLLECT AND HOW DO I USE THE PERSONAL DATA?
Registration of the information is necessary to enter into an agreement (booking or sales contract) with me and to provide you with service messages about my classes or your purchase(s).
Due to this, I will ask for your and/or your child’s name, age, address, e-mail address and food allergies in case of a class with snack. I ask for your telephone number so I can contact you quickly if there is any problem with your booking or an emergency.
In addition, I ask at the beginning of the workshop if you allow me to take and make use of photos of you and/or your artworks made during the classes for marketing purposes on my websites, to market Sonja Soyer art & classes.
I also ask the parents at the beginning of the children’s classes if they allow me to take and make use of photos of their children and/or their artworks made during the classes for marketing purposes on my websites, to market Sonja Soyer art & classes.
You of course have the right to decline this request and the right to ask me at a later stage to remove a photo that you are not happy with.
HOW DO WE PROTECT YOUR PERSONAL DATA?
When you book with me, I use a secure computer to enter your details into my working lists. I use a reliable and GDPR compliant mail provider and a secure connection to enter your name and e-mail address into my mailing list.
HOW LONG DO I KEEP YOUR PERSONAL DATA?
The personal data in the booking information is kept complying with local authorities’ rules to keep prove of my income.
If you registered for a workshop or subscribed to my e-mail service, I will store your personal data until you delete the profile or unsubscribe from my newsletter.
To be sure I have updated information about my class participants, I am asking you at the beginning of all workshops, to provide me with details on a subscription sheet. If your profile has not been used or activated for 3 years, I will delete it.
SUBSCRIPTION TO THE E-MAIL SERVICE
When I offer you a subscription to my e-mail and marketing service, I will ask for your name and e-mail address so that I can send you service information and my e-mail newsletter. Your name is not required to subscribe to my e-mail service, and you will be able to opt out at any time by clicking the unsubscribe link in the newsletter.
WILL I DISCLOSE THE DATA TO THIRD PARTIES?
I will not transfer personally identifiable information about class participants or clients to a third party, except in the following cases:
- If I am legally required to do so.
- In addition, I may provide information about my customers to third parties who provide services or functions on my behalf, including payment card processing, business analytics, customer service or marketing.
- In the event I sell or liquidate any part of business or assets.
Any such sharing will follow data protection law, and only to trustworthy third parties.
I always strive to clearly inform you regarding the uses and possible disclosure of your information when such information is obtained. If it is not practical to do so at the point of collection, I will inform you as soon as possible, unless there is a legitimate basis for not doing so.
