Faces Worth Painting – Portrait sketching & painting for Teens

Hey you, the one who draws on everything.

Let’s talk about faces. Not pretty, -perfect, -photo-realistic ones. Real ones, with character, with attitude, with a bit of weirdness. Over 5  weeks, I’ll show you how to really look at a person and then how to get that onto paper and canvas, with charcoal, ink and paint. 

We’ll sketch fast and loose. We’ll mix colours that have nothing to do with “skin tone.” We’ll make plenty of ugly drafts on the way to something that looks like you. Because the point isn’t a flawless portrait. It’s learning to take risks, trust your eye, and see what happens when you stop trying to get it “right.”

No experience needed. Just bring your curiosity and your willingness to mess up.

For parents: After more than 15 years of teaching, I know what teens need most: space to experiment, be seen, and grow in confidence. Along the way, they’ll build real drawing and painting skills and leave with a portfolio of portraits they’re proud of.

The workshop takes place on Thursday nights from 18.00 – 20.00h, starts on November 12th and goes through to 10th December. Limited spaces, so be sure to reserve your spot!
