FORM & SPACE – Material Experiments – A five-week experimental workshop for teenagers ready to think for themselves

You don’t need to know what you’re making before you start. You need to be willing to learn by doing.

This workshop teaches you to think like an artist – through material investigation and real critical thinking. You’ll work with unexpected materials and discover what they teach you about form, space, and your own decision-making.

We work in peer critique mode. That means honest conversations about ideas, not judgment about you. You’ll learn to defend your thinking, listen when something isn’t working, and extract intelligence from failure.

What you’ll develop:
Confidence in your own thinking and decision-making
Material literacy—understanding how materials behave
The ability to work under constraint and find originality there
Language to articulate what you’re testing and why

This workshop is for you if:
You’re curious about how things work
You’re ready to experiment without a predetermined outcome
You want to develop real critical thinking, not just make pretty things
You’re interested in understanding why you make the choices you do

The workshop takes place on Thursday evenings 18.00 – 20.00 on the following dates 4/6, 11/6, 18/6, 25/6, 9/7.  The course fee is 450 Euro incl. all materials and VAT for the set of five classes and payable on subscription.
