Mixed media portraits – workshop for beginners and advance students on Monday nights and Tuesday mornings

Through fun mixed media processes tackle the subject portrait and find the balance between realistic proportion and artistic expression

The subject portrait often puts the fear of God into participants, yet if we approach this subject playfully and in guided processes that keep the balance between observation, realistic capture of proportion and a playful approach that fearlessly reaches the goal through layering – everyone can find the joy of creating very individual mixed media portraits.
So join me in this fun workshop over 5 weeks in which we will explore the subject portrait from different angles. You will learn how to fearlessly capture portraits in drawings, how to translate them into paintings and create layered mixed compositions that are a true expression of yourself.

The explorative way in which we create the portraits, is great for beginners and advanced students alike, as it unblocks those that have been stuck in a rut for a while. The participants are encouraged to trust themselves and their creation processes and will learn to creatively react to challenges that might occur on their path.
