Come play – Mixed media art workshop
Keep your creative spirit alive with playful art projects and inspirations that encourage you to create without focussing on the end result.
Do you remember your mom saying, “go play!”?
In our childhood everything was a playground to us, our room, the sandpit in the garden, the garden itself or the farm ground of our neighbours. Unconsciously we reflected and explored our world playfully, light-hearted, and with our inborn and natural artistic creativity. Growing up into the adult’s world conscious rationalism usually took us over and very often our inborn artist got lost.
All our activities, especially in art making, are driven by conscious and subconscious patterns, rationalism and intuition, playfulness, and methodology as complementary and natural sides in us we can utilize in harmonic balance.
So let us go play! Let us return to this light-hearted playfulness and intuition. Let us re-open the door to the natural artist and creator in us.
Join me in this mixed media workshop and explore these complementing sides in us while making art and learn how to
- start off your creations with fun and play inspirations, remaining in the play phase as long as possible,
- work open-ended on your creation instead of strongly focussing on an end result,
- pause and change your thoughts positively when your analytical brain starts controlling you with fear and judgement,
- step back to a distant self-observation of your work,
and finally, become a
- playful decision taker!
The workshop consists of 5 sessions (2 hours each, all materials included) and will introduce you to several self-exploring exercises and many inspiring art techniques, dramatically improving the ease and flow of your creative work.
I am looking forward to guide you back to the artistic playground. Join in and reserve your participation!
