Join me for an inspiring 5 weeks program on “Timeless Treasures: Modern Still Life Painting,”where we breathe new life into the classic genre of still life. This course invites you to explore the rich history of still life painting while encouraging you to reinterpret and transform this timeless subject through a contemporary lens.
Throughout each 2-hour session, you will delve into the techniques and principles of still life painting, discovering how to compose and illuminate everyday objects in ways that resonate with modern themes. From traditional arrangements of fruits and flowers to innovative compositions featuring personal artifacts or modern materials, you’ll learn to convey meaning and emotion in your work.
Guided by thoughtful prompts and discussions, you will gain insight into the significance of still life in art history and its continued relevance in our contemporary lives. You will experiment with various painting techniques, color palettes, and styles, allowing you to express your unique perspective and artistic voice.
By the end of the program, you will have created a series of captivating still life paintings that reflect your interpretation of the world around you, bridging the past with the present. Join me in celebrating the beauty and significance of still life as we transform an age-old subject into vibrant expressions of modern life!
The workshop takes place over 5 weeks at my studio in Luxembourg/Belair, on Monday nights from 19.00 – 21.00h or on Tuesday mornings from 10.00 – 12.00h, starts on the 11th/12th November and costs 450€, including all materials and VAT.
